About
Quantum Nature sits between the lab and the lecture hall. It translates frontier research in quantum mechanics and particle physics into writing that respects both rigour and curiosity, and it does so for one kind of reader: the one who wants the equations acknowledged, not hidden.
What this publication is
Modern physics moves fast and speaks in equations. Most coverage responds by removing the equations. Quantum Nature does the opposite. It carries the technical content forward and explains it, so a graduate student, a working researcher and a reader who simply refuses to stop wondering how the universe works can all read the same article and each get something out of it.
The site is written and edited by Muhammad Iqbal, a Master’s-level physicist and educator. There is no newsroom, no editorial board and no contributor network. One person writes every piece, and the byline says so.
How every article is built
Every claim is traced to primary literature before it is written down. That means the journal paper or the arXiv preprint, not the press release and not the secondary coverage. Secondary reporting misattributes figures often enough that it cannot be treated as a source.
The editorial rule
If a number cannot be traced to a peer-reviewed paper or a preprint, it does not appear in the article. Measurement and interpretation are separated explicitly. What is unresolved is stated plainly, without hype and without hand-wringing.
Particle masses come from the Particle Data Group. Oscillation parameters come from NuFIT. References carry a journal DOI and an arXiv link wherever both exist, so any reader can go and check the claim against the source.
The three kinds of article
- Research — a specific new experiment, paper or result, reported close to the source.
- Analysis — deeper interpretation of that research and what it actually means for the field.
- Explainer — evergreen physics: the concepts the other two rely on.
Each type has its own archive, and explainers filed under a topic surface as a starting point on that topic’s page. New readers can begin with the concept and work outward to the news.
What we cover
Five fields, in rough order of how much has been published in each.
Article counts are deliberately not printed here. They go stale the moment something is published, and the archive itself is the honest answer.
Corrections
Errors get fixed, and significant ones get a dated update block on the article itself rather than a silent edit. If you have found something wrong, the contact form has a Correction option and it is read by the person who wrote the piece.
